The Flynn team attend charity’s 103rd annual banquet

Friday night saw some of the Flynn team suited and booted for the Liverpool Marine Engineers’ and NavalPlumbers Ball 20th November 2015 Architects’ Guild’s 103rd annual banquet.

Held at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool, more than 600 people attended the dinner, which is more commonly known as the Plumber’s Ball.

Following the Loyal Toast given by Chairman, John Mace, our Managing Director, Alex Flynn, had the opportunity to meet with the Second Sea Lord, Jonathon Woodcock OBE, who, during the ceremony, proposed a toast to the Guild – a charity founded in the 1890s to provide financial support to anyone living in the Merseyside and Manchester areas, who had served in the marine engineering or naval architectural professions.

To this day, the charity continues to assist elderly people and has supported many local organisations such as The Ocean Youth Trust, The Laird Foundation and Merseyside and Wirral Sea Cadets.

The team had a fantastic evening catching up with friends and partners across the maritime industry, so a huge thank you to everyone involved!
